system combat the disease, delivers excellent results in some patients. But \u2026 only 25% of patients respond to immunotherapy, and only 10% are cured with no risk of relapse.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"block-e4665acf97\" class=\"wp-block-nectar-blocks-text nectar-blocks-text nectar-font-body\">One of the problems comes from &#8220;cold&#8221; tumors, which fly under the immune system&#8217;s radar and cause immunotherapies to fail.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-nectar-blocks-row alignfull nectar-block nectar-blocks-row nectar-l2\" id=\"block-e166729b97\"><div class=\"nectar-blocks-row__inner is-contained-content scope-block-e166729b97\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-nectar-blocks-column nectar-blocks-column nectar-block nectar-l1\" id=\"block-64fdce513d\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-nectar-blocks-flex-box nectar-block nectar-blocks-flex-box nectar-l1\" id=\"block-543ffb4cf3\">\n<h2 id=\"block-f87b7666fe\" class=\"wp-block-nectar-blocks-text nectar-blocks-text\">Potential solution<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\r\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-nectar-blocks-column nectar-blocks-column nectar-block nectar-l1\" id=\"block-bea7925d5d\">\n<p id=\"block-6d2fd3939c\" class=\"wp-block-nectar-blocks-text nectar-blocks-text nectar-gt-3dmEdFV6tc\">Our project leader is developing a therapy called ONCO-Boost that turns &#8220;cold&#8221; tumors into &#8220;hot&#8221; tumors, making them easier for the immune system to detect.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"block-18e35a8c7d\" class=\"wp-block-nectar-blocks-text nectar-blocks-text\">How?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"block-fe76f74580\" class=\"wp-block-nectar-blocks-text nectar-blocks-text\">By boosting the immune system, cold tumors become more visible and easier to target for immune cells, which can then attack and eliminate them.<br\/>Used in combination with other (immuno)therapies, it considerably increases their effectiveness against cancer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"block-0fac353980\" class=\"wp-block-nectar-blocks-text nectar-blocks-text nectar-gt-3dmEdFV6tc\">Extremely promising results<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-nectar-blocks-flex-box nectar-block nectar-blocks-flex-box nectar-l1\" id=\"block-wv3nG10to5\">\n<p id=\"block-QPikCLl77A\" class=\"wp-block-nectar-blocks-text nectar-blocks-text nectar-font-h2\">17 \u00e0 100%<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"block-5xLYpHbwbp\" class=\"wp-block-nectar-blocks-text nectar-blocks-text\">In preclinical tests on lymphomas, the complete cure rate rose from 17% to 100% with this molecule, compared with the best current immunotherapy.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-nectar-blocks-flex-box nectar-block nectar-blocks-flex-box nectar-l1\" id=\"block-f41ed8d953\">\n<p id=\"block-cd1c016521\" class=\"wp-block-nectar-blocks-text nectar-blocks-text nectar-font-h2\">0 \u00e0 57%<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"block-7fb6adca6e\" class=\"wp-block-nectar-blocks-text nectar-blocks-text\">In tests on particularly aggressive colorectal cancer, the complete cure rate rose from 0% with the leading immunotherapy for solid cancers to 57% in combination with this molecule.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-nectar-blocks-flex-box nectar-block nectar-blocks-flex-box nectar-l1\" id=\"block-fa28b65afd\">\n<p id=\"block-abab75e614\" class=\"wp-block-nectar-blocks-text nectar-blocks-text nectar-font-h2\">75%<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"block-2aff7af8d5\" class=\"wp-block-nectar-blocks-text nectar-blocks-text\">Finally, in preclinical tests on osteosarcoma (a bone cancer) for which no effective treatment currently exists, the molecule used as a monotherapy achieved a complete cure rate of 78%.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"block-a54871c4b7\" class=\"wp-block-nectar-blocks-text nectar-blocks-text\">In 2025, new positive results were obtained for triple-negative breast cancer.<br\/>To confirm these promising results, the next step is to move into clinical phases, which will allow the first patients to benefit from this promising molecule.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-nectar-blocks-row alignfull nectar-block nectar-blocks-row nectar-l2\" id=\"block-a382bd0848\"><div class=\"nectar-blocks-row__inner is-contained-content scope-block-a382bd0848\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-nectar-blocks-column nectar-blocks-column nectar-block nectar-l1\" id=\"block-43bbe03565\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-nectar-blocks-flex-box nectar-block nectar-blocks-flex-box nectar-l1\" id=\"block-10151c0ab3\">\n<h2 id=\"block-b9c6d04a81\" class=\"wp-block-nectar-blocks-text nectar-blocks-text\">Against which cancers?<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\r\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-nectar-blocks-column nectar-blocks-column nectar-block nectar-l1\" id=\"block-606496d325\">\n<p id=\"block-36723a6226\" class=\"wp-block-nectar-blocks-text nectar-blocks-text\">Initially, the development of this product as a monotherapy targets osteosarcoma (a highly aggressive bone cancer, particularly among 12 to 20 year olds) and triple-negative breast cancer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"block-7e5f8598ad\" class=\"wp-block-nectar-blocks-text nectar-blocks-text\">In a second phase, this product will be combined with existing immunotherapies that are ineffective against &#8220;cold&#8221;
